We are seeking a Vice President of Business Development to join Scalar’s sales team. This position
works with the visionaries, advisors, and investors behind bold and innovative companies. The
successful candidate will join a fast paced team and be responsible for driving new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the entire sales life cycle, from lead generation to close
- Source, nurture, and close new business opportunities in assigned territories
- Develop a deep understanding of our offerings; serve as a trusted advisor to clients and partners
- Drive revenue independently and as part of a highly collaborative sales & marketing team
Markers of an Ideal Candidate
- 2 to 5 years experience selling services to new accounts (private/public companies, fund managers)
- Track record of ramping sales quickly and consistently achieving quota
- Ability to flex between outbound prospecting, relationship development, and closing deal
- Highly knowledgeable about venture capital and private equity, or accounting and valuation
- Proven networker with C-suite executives, investors, attorneys, and/or other business advisors
- Ability to travel 10-25% as needed
