The Salt Lake Tribune has honored Scalar, a rapidly growing financial valuation firm in Draper, as one of the Top Workplaces for 2020. This annual ranking, based solely on employee feedback and gathered through a third-party survey, measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.
For the 2020 awards, 1,336 employers in the region were invited to have their workers take the survey. The companies surveyed employed a total of 36,079 people in Utah. In the end, only 100 employers earned recognition as Top Workplaces and were ranked based on their employee survey feedback. Scalar placed No.10 in the small business category.
Zak Nugent, CEO of Scalar said, “We are honored to be recognized among the Top Workplaces in our state. There are no shortcuts to being a great company and it takes a dedicated team to get there. We are proud to have created a great workplace that will help us continue to thrive together. Our philosophy is simple: the only way that we can consistently provide the best service to our clients is by focusing first on a successful team.”
As the pandemic swept through the nation, challenging the traditional workplace culture, Scalar was quick to reevaluate its processes and ensure employee wellness and satisfaction in a new, remote-work environment. The company grew by double-digits and expanded its services.
“The pandemic has tested many companies and we couldn’t be prouder of how quickly our team has adapted and risen to meet the new challenges. Despite the changes in our physical workplace, our employees remain dedicated to our culture and to our commitment to providing outstanding customer service. At Scalar, we focus on the health, wellness, and happiness of our team. That was true before COVID, it is true now, and will continually be a guiding value for our firm in the future.”
In 2021, Scalar plans to continue its growth momentum, adding to its team and expanding its physical footprint with a new addition to its Draper office space.
